It is quite rare to hear about a multi-platinum star give up her million dollar home to live on a farm.
Kelis has stood out from the crowd. She is now a 38-year-old mother of two and still, nothing has changed. In the early 2000’s Kelis has brought us hits such as Milkshakes and now she’s serving us eclairs and creme brûlée. Kelis is Le Cordon Bleu Paris-trained chef and has transformed her life from performing with great music to amazing wholesome meals with sustainable foods. She has sold her million-dollar 1920s home in Glendale to purchase a farm, to grow and prepare the food she enjoys for her family.
“Now that I’ve got these two boys, I want to control a little bit more how we eat. We’re buying a farm, so that’s why we’re moving: so that we can grow everything and sustain everything that way.”
Kelis’ motive to sell her home and purchase land for farming was to be able to present healthier food options for her family. What an admirable move! Health is wealth, family!
