Though it “cost more” than a “Rolls Royce,” 50 Cent’s latest purchase is something you can enjoy at the club.
The I Get Money rapper was in Houston on Sunday, according to Click2Houston, for the annual Uncorked! The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo host an international wine competition. The competition attracts wealthy customers eager to acquire high-end wines from 17 nations, including France, Spain, Italy, Israel, Peru, Argentina, and South Africa.
50 Cent announced on Twitter that he had purchased a bottle of wine worth more than most individuals earn in a year.
Sire Spirits is owned and operated by 50 Cent, who was dressed in cowboy attire. The purchase was made through the spirits company, which paid $125,000 for the Top Texas Wine, Hye Meadow Winery Boooom Red, Texas High Plains, 2017.
This isn’t the first time 50 Cent has attended the yearly celebration. He bid unsuccessfully on a bottle that sold for $175,000 at the same event last year. Last year, the Power executive producer’s Le Chemin du Roi champagne won Grand Champion at the International Wine Competition.
The former Curtis Jackson has had a hectic few months. He performed at the Super Bowl halftime show in February. According to Deadline, he and reality TV queen Mona Scott-Young declared in January that they will try to locate the killers of well-known rappers.
Hip Hop Homicides is an unscripted series created by 50 Cent’s G-Unit Film & Television, Scott-Monami Young’s Productions, and Lionsgate Television.
Former TMZ co-host Van Lathan is slated to host the series.
