Authorities in Georgia’s Effingham County are looking for a “dangerous” convict who escaped detention.
Officials say Kevin David Lenix Wilson, 32, fled from detention on Monday night after a suspected door malfunction allowed him access to an unsecured location.
Wilson has been detained by investigators in connection with multiple accusations stemming from a traffic stop in October 2020.
Wilson was charged with three charges of malice murder, one count of felony murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon by a Chatham County grand jury in August for an event that occurred on May 13, 2020, in Savannah.
Wilson, according to deputies, is dangerous and should not be approached.
If you spot the escaped inmate or have any information regarding his escape, please contact the authorities at 911 or Crime Stoppers at 912-234-2020.
