A Houston mother is celebrating the birth of sextuplets, which has a one in 4.7 billion chance of happening, according to The Women’s Hospital in Texas. On Friday, Thelma Chiaka gave birth to two pairs of twin boys and one set of twin girls. According to Yahoo Lifestyle, the six babies arrived at 4:50 and 4:59 a.m. The newborns weighed between 1 pound, 12 ounces and 2 pounds, 14 ounces, according to the hospital. Thankfully, they are in stable condition and are being closely followed in the newborn intensive care section of the hospital (NICU). Chiaka called her twin daughters Zina and Zuriel, according to the hospital. The Women’s Hospital of Texas, which opened in 1976, claims to deliver over 10,000 infants per year, more than any other maternal hospital in the Houston area.
