Since the day she first came onto the scene in 1998 with her timeless single “All About Me,” Mya has been an inspiration to Black girls and women everywhere. Even up to this day she gives us daily body, skin, and fine woman goals on Instagram, showing women what it means to be confident in their bodies and sexuality.
Mya was a part of some of the biggest girl anthems of our youth, from “All About Me” to “Whoa,” giving us hit after hit of songs to learn the choreography for and sing our hearts out to. The 20th anniversary of “Lady Marmalade,” the song she remade with Pink, Christina Aguilera, and Lil’ Kim, was earlier this year. Mya shared a few behind-the-scenes photos from the video production on her Instagram account in March, reflecting on and sharing that moment in “herstory” with her followers.

Also, she isn’t afraid to share her health and fitness journey with her fans in the hopes of inspiring others to follow in her footsteps and go on their own wellness path. The singer and actress had been a vegetarian for a long time before deciding to adopt a vegan lifestyle in 2014, ostensibly to test her willpower. She’s now a full-fledged vegan, and she uses her Instagram to encourage others to try vegan eating as well.
“Happy #wellnesswednesday. Reminder to love yourself from the inside out. Sharing is caring, sooo here are just a few natural things I implement daily, since you’ve been asking. 😘💞,” one of her Instagram post says.
Mya’s skin is always perfect, and her young glow may be enough to entice anyone to follow in her footsteps and live a vegan lifestyle. Not only is her skin beautiful, but she also utilizes the captions on her pictures to encourage people to achieve their goals.

One thing is certain: Mya is stunning, and she has always been without a doubt.
Mya revealed last year that she is married…to herself! The singer detailed how and why she married herself during an appearance on Fox Soul’s “Out Loud with Claudia Jordan”. “It was all about self-care, self-love and getting myself back after a toxic relationship,” Mya explained.” Last year (2019), I renewed my vows, stepping into a new year. It’s not about anything like ‘all men are bad’ or anything like that. It’s really about becoming your best self and making sure that you’re leveling up in all aspects of your life.”
